Cupivec builds explainable, consent-based matching software for businesses and platforms. We are based in Metro Vancouver, BC, Canada, and we are responsible for the personal information collected through this website. You can reach us about privacy at contact@cupivec.xyz.

Information you give us. When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, company (if you provide it), the topic you choose and your message. If you email us directly, we receive your email address and anything you include in the message.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the website, our hosting provider processes technical information that is needed to deliver pages and keep the site secure, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you request, the referring page and the date and time of your visit. We also use your IP address briefly to limit repeated contact form submissions.

Information stored on your device. The website remembers your theme choice (light, dark or system) in your browser's local storage. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.

We don't ask for sensitive information, such as health details, government identifiers or information about protected characteristics. Please don't include it in your messages.

We use personal information to:

• reply to your inquiry and continue the conversation you started, such as a demo, pilot or partnership;
• operate the website, keep it secure and prevent spam or abuse;
• understand and fix technical problems; and
• meet our legal obligations.

We don't use your information for advertising, we don't sell or rent it, and we don't make automated decisions about you based on it.

By submitting the contact form or emailing us, you consent to our use of your information to respond to you. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing contact@cupivec.xyz. If you do, we may not be able to continue the conversation.

Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to inquiries and running a secure website, on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and on compliance with legal obligations.

This website doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies, and it doesn't track you across other websites. The only information stored in your browser is your theme preference, which you can clear at any time in your browser settings. If we add analytics in the future, we'll update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the website and handle correspondence. They act on our instructions and are required to protect the information and use it only to provide their services to us:

• Vercel hosts and delivers the website.
• Resend delivers contact form messages to our inbox.
• Our email provider stores the messages and emails we exchange with you.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights, property or safety of Cupivec or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case the information would remain subject to protections at least as strong as those in this policy.

Cupivec is based in Canada. Our service providers may store and process personal information in the United States and other countries. While it is stored there, it may be accessible to courts, law enforcement and national security authorities under the laws of those countries. We use contractual and other safeguards to protect information that is processed outside Canada.

We keep contact form messages and related email correspondence for as long as we need them to respond and follow up, and then for up to 24 months after our last communication with you, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. If you become a customer, our customer agreement governs the information we keep after that.

Technical logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period for security and reliability. When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access and service providers with strong security practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and review our practices regularly.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• ask whether we hold personal information about you and get a copy of it;
• ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
• withdraw your consent, or ask us to delete your information; and
• where the GDPR applies, object to or restrict our processing and receive your information in a portable format.

If you have a concern, please contact us first so that we can try to resolve it. You can also contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or the data protection authority where you live.

This website is intended for businesses and professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date above. If we make significant changes, we'll provide a more prominent notice.
